INTRO

• Designed to simulate a real-world accounts receivable monitoring system used by finance teams.

• This project showcases the transformation of a 500-record financial dataset into a structured and interactive dashboard.

• The goal was to organize raw data, identify key metrics, and present insights in a clear and visual format to support better decision-making.

• This dashboard is designed for accounts receivable monitoring, providing real-time visibility into outstanding balances, collection performance, and overdue accounts.

• This dashboard is connected to a live dataset, allowing real-time updates and dynamic reporting.

THE PROBLEM

The dataset contained unstructured financial data with no clear summary or visualization, making it difficult to analyze trends and performance.

APPROACH / METHODOLOGY

• Cleaned and organized raw financial data

• Developed key performance indicators (KPIs)

• Created charts and visual summaries

• Designed a structured dashboard for easy interpretation

RESULT/VALUE

• Reduced time spent on manual receivables tracking by consolidating 500+ records into a single interactive dashboard

• Enabled faster identifiation of high-risk accounts through automated aging classification

• Improved visibility of collection performance, supporting quicker decision-making for follow-ups and prioritization

KEY INSIGHTS

• Majority of overdue balances fall under the 90+ days bucket, indicating potential gaps in follow-up or collection strategy

• Certain regions consistently show higher outstanding balances, suggesting the need for targeted collection efforts

• Collection rate (56%) highlights opportunities to improve payment efficiency and monitoring
